Remuneration policy
The AFM monitors financial firms to ensure they implement a sound remuneration policy. Such a policy prevents incentives that could lead to irresponsible risk-taking or the negligent treatment of clients and investors.
Our remuneration policy is primarily designed to attract, retain and motivate highly qualified employees. This is achieved within a framework of controlled, ethical and long-term business operations. Crucially, we ensure that remuneration does not incentivise behaviour that could lead to the careless treatment of participants or a breach of our duty of care.
Employee remuneration consists of a fixed salary alongside expense and travel allowances. We offer market-rate salaries, with the option for variable remuneration. Eligibility for variable remuneration depends on several criteria, at least 50% of which are non-financial.
The same remuneration components apply to both the management board and employees, on the understanding that, in accordance with the articles of association of the B.V., a dividend distribution may be claimed where applicable.
No individual at BB Capital receives total remuneration exceeding €1 million within a single financial year.
